Hikes and bike tours directly from Apartment Alpenliebe

Walks directly from the accommodation

Right around Hart im Zillertal there are already some really nice options for simply heading out on foot. Small paths through meadows, towards the village, or further down in the direction of Fügen are perfect for both easy strolls and more demanding loop walks.

When you don’t really have a fixed plan, this is ideal: just step outside, walk through the village, maybe grab a coffee in Fügen along the way, and head back. It’s not a spectacular hiking trail, but it’s exactly these simple routes that often make a stay feel so relaxed.

Schleier Waterfall – a beautiful tour

A popular nearby destination is the Schleier Waterfall (depending on the chosen route, it can be reached in different ways). This is more of an easy-going hike that works well as a half-day tour. Forest paths, short climbs, and repeatedly beautiful views along the way make it a very enjoyable experience, with a rewarding natural highlight at the end. On the way, you can also stop for a break at the Gasthaus Almdiele.

Wiedersberger Horn – demanding but rewarding

The hike to the Wiedersberger Horn is definitely one of the bigger undertakings starting from Hart. Going directly from the accommodation makes it a long and quite physically demanding tour. There are several routes leading up to the peak.

A sensible option (and also a good tip from experience) is to park the car further up at the Kerschbaumer Sattel, which significantly shortens the ascent. This makes the hike much more manageable and easier to plan. However, you should be aware that the road to the Kerschbaumer Sattel is quite a narrow road.

Alternatively, the route to the Wiederberger peak can also be done by e-bike. Most of it follows forest and field tracks.

Hamberg

The Hamberg is also a very nice hiking option in the area. However, it is important to note that the full route is not suitable for e-bikes.

A good approach is therefore to ride the e-bike as far as possible and then continue on foot. This combination makes the tour more flexible and especially pleasant on warmer days.

Insider tip combination: bike + hike + panorama

A really great mixed route looks something like this:

Ride the e-bike up towards the Wiedersberger Horn, leave the bike near the hut at the top, and then continue on foot towards the Hamberg. After the hike, return to the bike and enjoy the descent back down into the valley.
